Dune

What ever genre you like, Dune by Frank Herbert is the book to read. These are just my thoughts on the book so you may or may not agree with them. Dune may be considered a Science Fiction novel, but that is really an understatement. This book is much more then simple science fiction. It deals with issues relative to humanity today, giving us a deeper understanding of human motives, thoughts and actions. Dune entwines the elements of romance, politics, good and evil, religion, and much more. The characters are deep, the plot is twisting and intriguing, and the dialogue well worded. The only downside is that the very beginning of the story is quite confusing. You don't really have a clear understanding at first, but you will begin to realize what is happening as you get further into the book. My advice, give it fifty pages, you will not regret it.
